As of March 16, ADR Driver Training is again permitted. Examination (CBR) is also allowed again from that date.
Validity of certificates – Multilateral Agreement (MO) M333
To cope to some extent with the expiration of certificates, the Netherlands signed Multilateral Agreement (MO) M333. This agreement provides that ADR driver certificates that expire between March 1, 2021 and Sept. 1, 2021 will be automatically renewed until Sept. 30, 2021.
A condition is that the driver must have taken a renewal course and passed a new exam before Oct. 1, 2021. The validity period of the new ADR certificate will then begin as of the expiration date of the older certificate.
Note: The M333 is only valid in the countries that have signed the MO. Unfortunately, these are not all (European) countries. For example, Belgium, among others, has not signed the MO. So in the countries that have not signed the MO, an expired ADR driver certificate is really not valid either!
