Recognitions Special Cargo

Trust is the basis for the good relationship with our customers. This is why we invest every day in the quality of our services, and in the expertise and proactivity of our employees. This includes obtaining the relevant certificates and accreditations. With Special Cargo Services, you choose a partner that meets the strictest requirements and highest legal standards.

E-recognition

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has granted us E-recognition status. To transport dangerous goods by air, you must have the proper accreditation as a freight forwarder. This is not always easy to achieve. Then we can take that role from you; we will assume full legal liability for the shipment.

AEO Security

Safety and security are our top priorities. This is why we made sure that Customs issued the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) license to us. In its annual review of these, Customs monitors our security safeguards, such as security and safety systems and our internal control measures. Thus, we contribute to the security of the entire logistics chain.

ISO 9001:2015

To show what you as a customer mean to us, we are ISO 9001:2015 certified, the standard for quality management. This quality system is compelling evidence of our commitment to providing products and services that meet the expectations of our valued customers. Our goal is to continually increase customer satisfaction, and ISO 9001:2015 provides a solid foundation on which we build to achieve this ambition. To do this, Lloyd’s Register does a short audit with us twice a year, and a comprehensive audit every three years, renewing our certification.

ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification demonstrates that our products and services meet our customers’ requirements and comply with laws and regulations

VIHB registration

Special Cargo Services is registered on the NIWO’s national list of Carriers, Collectors, Traders and Intermediaries (Vervoerder, Inzamelaars, Handelaars en Bemiddelaars, VIHB). That is, we are authorized to collect and transport commercial and hazardous waste. The NIWO is the licensing authority for Dutch road transport.

Article 17 Explosives Act

We are an industry leader in the safe storage and transportation of civilian explosive materials. For transportation, our employees are screened based on the Article 17 approval under the Civil Explosives Act. The Environmental and Transport Inspectorate monitors this. In addition, we use approved transportation equipment for these transports.

BORG-3

Our warehouses and storage facilities – in Europoort, at Schiphol Airport and in IJmuiden – are BORG-3- certified. With this certificate, we show that our premises are well secured against burglary. There is camera surveillance and several “peels” within the storage facilities to keep malicious persons away from your property.
