In November, the Hazardous Substances Publication Series published the final version of PGS 37-2: the new guideline for safe storage of lithium energy carriers, or lithium batteries. As a knowledge leader in this area, Special Cargo has two training sessions regarding this important directive. In addition to our three-day course, our e-learning “Awareness of PGS 37-2 Storage of Lithium-Energy Carriers” is now fully compliant with the new directive. So enroll yourself or your employees, and acquire the necessary basic knowledge about PGS 37-2 in just a few hours.
For employees in the warehouse
Many companies in the Netherlands have lithium energy carriers – or lithium batteries – stored in their warehouse or warehouse. To ensure this is done safely, it must be done with extreme care and expertise. The PGS 37-2 directive was created for this purpose. Does your company also have these batteries in storage? Then your employees who deal with this must have basic knowledge of PGS 37-2. For example, drivers of internal transport equipment in that space. They should have knowledge of the dangers of these batteries. Other colleagues will also need to have basic knowledge of PGS 37-2 to perform their jobs properly. For these groups of personnel, we have developed the e-learning “Awareness Storage Lithium Energy Carriers PGS 37-2.
Training Requirements PGS 37-2
The great thing is that even our e-learning is now fully aligned with the new, final directive PGS 37-2. So with this, you can prepare now for when it comes into effect and thus becomes mandatory. In particular, e-learning can be used to support the ‘instruction to personnel’ (measure 46) and ‘training of drivers of internal transport equipment’ (measure 47) required by PGS 37-2. The training is based on the training requirements from PGS 37-2. In addition, you can take this e-learning to prepare for the three-day course “PGS 37-2 Storage of Lithium Energy Carriers.
Becoming truly competent?
With this latter course, you will learn to apply the PGS 37-2 guideline independently. You will learn to work in full compliance with the new, final version of the guideline. This three-day training is designed for anyone who handles lithium energy carrier storage themselves, such as warehouse managers, strategic managers, compliance officers, QHSE managers, safety consultants and regulators.
Learning where and when you want
In the e-learning “Awareness Storage Lithium-Energy Carriers PGS 37-2,” you will learn the principles of safe storage of lithium batteries in three to four hours. From behind your desk, at a time that is convenient for you. The training is interactive and includes enlightening videos. You can choose between the Dutch or the English version. So if you work with lithium batteries at a company site: make sure it is done safely and order the e-learning.
