This course trains to become an Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor ADR/RID. Following the ADR, you can take the one-day RID course module. Any company that transports dangerous goods by road or rail or performs operations related to such transport (packing, loading, filling or unloading) must appoint a safety advisor. The safety advisor is an expert in the regulations governing the transportation of dangerous goods.

Topics covered include the following, according to the CBR/CCV examination requirements:
- National and international laws and regulations
- General regulations
- Classification and associated (chemical) properties of hazardous substances incl. classification
- Special provisions
- Exemptions, 1000-point table, limited quantities and eccepted quantities
- Documentation
- Loading and unloading and related regulations
- Reporting procedures, prevention measures
- Use and construction of containers, tanks, MEGCs, MEMU and wagons
- Features & labeling

- Duration: five days (basic); three days (repeat)
