Special Cargo College’s aviation security training programs are based on NCTV regulations. Now that party has recently made several changes in the job classification of employees. This also affects our training sessions. Special Cargo wouldn’t be Special Cargo if it didn’t get right down to it. Result: a new training offering, fully compliant with the latest NCTV regulations!

Air cargo, of course, is pre-eminently related to security. And for that, the NCTV (Nationaal Coördinator Terrorismebestrijding en Veiligheid) is the legislative party. That government agency informed us in late December that the National Civil Aviation Security Training Program (Nationaal Opleidingsprogramma Beveiliging Burgerluchtvaart, NOBB) has been modified: the Air Cargo Officer certificate has been split into a version A and a version B.

Air cargo clerk A and B

Version A is then for persons who have access to the areas where the secure air cargo and mail is located and who may perform operations with it. Employees Air Cargo B may enter the areas where the safe air cargo is, but may not do anything with it. Special Cargo College immediately got to work on this split in courses. And now you can take both with us! No changes have been made in the familiar courses Employee Airport Supplies and Employee Flight Supplies.

Supervisor and security manager

In addition, the NCTV has made another change: previously the security consultant certification was used, but it has now been replaced by the supervisor and security manager certification. Since January 1 of this year, we have offered both trainings. Many companies find it difficult to determine which of the two training requirements they must legally meet. For this type of dilemma, Special Cargo is developing a flow chart: fill in a few basic questions you’ll know which training(s) apply to your business. Keep an eye on our website for the latest news!
