Online learning. We cannot avoid it in this day and age. In fact; online learning is fully integrated into our training program. E-learnings are delivered as stand-alone courses, as well as in combination with lessons from a virtual instructor or classroom sessions. Our new Online Learning & Development department is tasked with focusing entirely on innovation, development and implementation of our digital education offerings. Thus, contemporary learning is always central.
E-learning
The days of online training in the form of a PowerPoint are definitely over. Our students are constantly activated and motivated through videos, animations and quizzes. That is didactic online learning. Those who pass the e-learning will receive a digital certificate or access to the next training course. This allows students to go through the program at their own time and pace.
Blended training; a variety of e-learnings, exercises and interaction with the instructor
Blended training courses
Blended training is a mix of different learning formats; a variety of e-learnings, exercises and (classroom) interaction with instructors. Learners can choose a combination of classroom sessions or fully digital, where contact with the instructor is also offered virtually. In this way, participants engage fully online from their own workstations. Whichever form of blended learning is chosen; combined with the preparatory e-learning, the sessions can go much deeper into the material.
Play the Escape Game
Complex lesson material is better remembered when students work on it themselves. Therefore, as much interaction as possible is introduced into the courses and trainings. A great example is the Escape Game designed by Special Cargo College for ADR driver training. By offering the Escape Game, students interact with the course material.
At Special Cargo, interaction and contemporary learning take center stage
Interaction also prevails in our classroom lessons. Teachers, for example, use online quizzes to test knowledge and allow participants to participate in discussions through Mentimeter. In this way, participants are stimulated and activated as much as possible to engage with the lesson material. So, wherever or however the training takes place; at Special Cargo College, interaction and contemporary learning are key.
