For our Schiphol (Oude Meer) location we are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Dangerous Goods Employee. Do you want to work in an international environment where no day is the same? Are you interested in documenting and packaging dangerous goods for various modes of transportation? Are you responsible, adaptable and speak a fair bit of English? Then you have what it takes to become our new Dangerous Goods Employee. We would love to meet with you!

Who are we?

Pleasant! We are Special Cargo Services, the dangerous goods specialist. Special Cargo Services provides all services regarding the storage, packaging and transportation of dangerous goods. We take care of all concerns for our clients and ensure that all dangerous goods are prepared for shipment and transported from A to B. By road, by sea, by rail and by air.

With our entities Special Cargo Services and Special Cargo College (the training provider for Logistics Netherlands in the field of dangerous goods, aviation safety and security), we have branches and training locations at Schiphol, Rotterdam, IJmuiden, Veenendaal and in Texas USA.

What will you do?

  • Packaging and documentation of dangerous goods
  • Checking dangerous goods shipments on site
  • Preparing shipments for further transportation
  • Preparation and processing of quotations
  • Inform customers of shipment status information
  • Complete administrative handling of files
  • Perform pick and pack processes

Working hours are negotiable, but you will have periodic late shifts. Employment is for a minimum of 32 hours per week.

What do you bring?

Do you have at least MBO working and thinking level, relevant work experience (is an advantage) and good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing? Are you communicatively strong, able to hold your own in a dynamic environment and willing to go the extra mile?
A Certificate of No Objection (VGB) is required to work with air cargo. We will apply for these with you in the run-up to your employment.
