Position: Team Leader Road Transport
What does this role entail: As a Road Transport Team Leader, you will be the driving force behind our road transport team. You will directly manage two planners and a team of drivers, being responsible for the smooth and efficient planning of transportation activities. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, your focus will be on ensuring the quality of our services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and motivate two planners and a team of drivers.
- Setting up transportation planning and ensuring optimal deployment of personnel and equipment.
- Coordinate transportation activities and ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain contact with drivers, customers and other stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with road transportation laws and regulations.
- Active participation in consultation and decision-making within the team.
What we ask:
- Minimum college level of work and thinking.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership position within the transportation industry.
- Excellent knowledge of laws and regulations related to road transportation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Experience managing planners and drivers.
- Stress-resistant, flexible and solution-oriented.
- In possession of a valid driver’s license B.
